Active Freight Network (AFN) was founded in 2017, with its head office in Egypt. It is led by CEO Abeer Mahran and a management team with over 30 years in forwarding. AFN offers members a financial protection fund from day one, special carrier rates and partnerships with CargoWise One, Amazon's Service Provider Network and Tank4Swap. Its annual global meetings are known for their friendly, smaller-scale atmosphere.

AFN says it accepts only reputable, highly experienced forwarders. Applications are approved by the AFN advisory committee, and membership starts on the date the fee is received.

AFN marks ten annual meetings with three days in Bali: one-to-one business meetings, knowledge-sharing sessions and social events. Past delegates praise the friendly, private atmosphere of a smaller conference.
Citizens of 19 countries, including Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Laos, Myanmar and Cambodia, can visit Indonesia visa-free for 30 days. Others should check Indonesia's visa rules before booking.
